Released: May 2026
Previous release: v1.6.7.0
This is a major release. The headline feature is full remote firmware update support for both the controller and the cellular modem, plus a wide range of reliability, fault-handling, and user-interface improvements.
Important: When updating from an earlier version of controller firmware, the modem firmware must also be updated at the same time to remain compatible.
Important: because this release introduces remote updates, v2.0.0.0 must be installed on-site. Future controller updates can be delivered remotely over the cellular or wifi connection.
Remote firmware updates
- Controller and modem firmware can now be updated and reverted both locally and remotely.
Reliability and stability
- Automatic recovery from low-level communication protocol errors
- Improved memory management to avoid unintended controller resets.
- More reliable cloud uplink under high bandwidth.
Settings and Control
- Added generator mode to be able to configure for generator connections on the input (charger) and the output (fixed export + regen)
- Added generator cooldown period where input current slowly ramps down after target SOC is reached
Faults and alerts
- Added latching time to faults triggering the Any Fault metric, to reduce alerting noise.
- Added a generator fault indicator for alerting in scenarios where a generator supplies intermittent input power based on gen signal.
- Fire-suppression activation uses latched value to stop the fans.
- Remove false positive "charger power loss" alerts when a charger is unplugged.
- The active faults list includes severity level.
