This is a major release. The headline feature is full remote (over-the-air) firmware update support for the cellular modem, bringing the modem in line with controller firmware v2.0.0.0.

Important: The modem firmware must be updated together with controller firmware v2.0.0.0 to remain compatible.

Important: because this release introduces remote updates, v2.0.0 must be installed on-site. Future modem updates can be delivered remotely.

Remote firmware updates

• Modem firmware can now be updated and reverted both locally and remotely (OTA).
• Downloads are verified and checked for available space before installing, with automatic restore from backup if an update fails.

Reliability and stability

• General stability improvements across the modem applications.

Telemetry and diagnostics

• Added remote logging of device events to the RMS for faster troubleshooting.
• Software version is now reported in status messages.

Networking

• Updated local network ranges to avoid common collisions.
• Added static WiFi access-point support for locations with limited cellular coverage.
