The RMS interface uses a fixed top bar, a collapsible left sidebar, and a content area that adapts to the selected page. The same layout is present on every screen, so once you are oriented you can navigate quickly between asset, alert, and admin views.

Top bar

The top bar is persistent across all pages.

Element	Behaviour
Cranepower logo	Returns to the Dashboard.
Breadcrumb	Shows the current location, e.g. `Admin / Organisations` or `Assets / Demo P300 Asset`. Each segment is clickable and navigates to the parent page.
Notification bell	Indicates active alert subscriptions. A red badge appears when one or more of your subscribed alerts are currently triggered.
Owner chip	Displays the name of the Owner account you are signed into (e.g. `Demo Company`). For most users this is read-only context. SuperAdmins can use it to change Owner.
User chip	Your name (or email). Click to open the user menu — see Your User Profile.

Left sidebar

The sidebar is split into two sections separated by a divider. The chevron at the top collapses the sidebar to icons only.

RMS Admin section

Contains role-agnostic navigation (every signed-in user sees these, though their contents may vary by role).

Dashboard — the default landing page. Asset map and a flat table of every asset you have access to.
My Alerts — your personal alert subscriptions and their current state. See Alerts & Reporting (forthcoming).
Admin — expands to reveal admin sub-pages. Visibility of the sub-pages depends on your role:
- Alert Subscriptions (Org Admin and above) — manage subscriptions on behalf of users in your scope.
- Organisations (Org Admin and above) — manage organisations under your Owner.
- Users (Owner Admin / SuperAdmin) — manage user accounts. See Creating a New User.

If you do not see the Admin menu, or you see it but cannot see Users, you do not have the required role. Roles are described in Roles & Permissions Overview.

Assets section

Lists every asset you have access to, grouped under the Assets header with a count (e.g. Assets (1)). Clicking the header reveals a search field and the asset list. Each entry shows:

A status dot (green = connected, grey = disconnected).
The asset's display name.
The organisation it belongs to.

Clicking an asset opens its Asset Detail page, with tabs for the dashboard plus subsystem views (PCS, CHARGERS, BMS, TMS, IO, RCM, SYS) where applicable.
