CranePower RMS supports sending notifications over Email / WhatsApp when specific fault statuses are reported by the unit.

WhatsApp notifications require you to first verify your WhatsApp number on the platform, while email notifications can be sent straightaway to your registered email.

WhatsApp verification

On “Alerts” tab - if your WhatsApp number isn’t verified yet, you’ll see a warning banner advising you to set it up.

Click into “Set up WhatsApp” and follow the instructions, entering your WhatsApp contact number and verifying the one time use code sent from the CranePower account to that number.

If you don’t receive a one time code within a few minutes, you should verify you are entering the right number and use the ‘Re-send code’ option.

If you create a WhatsApp alert for yourself or other users who have not yet verified a number, no notifications will be sent until they verify a number.

You will receive a warning to advise which users do not have WhatsApp configured while creating the alert.

  1. Specify one or more assets to monitor.
  2. Choose which alerts you want to receive notifications for. For example, Low SOC .
  3. Choose which users to subscriber - for non admin users, this will auto fill to yourself.
  4. Choose a notification channel, Email or WhatsApp .
  5. Choose the alert settings:

All done!

To get both Email AND WhatsApp notifications on the same alert, create two identical alerts but specify one as Email and one as WhatsApp.

This allows you to escalate to text if the alert is still active after X time - for example, set a 30 minute delay on the WhatsApp alert but no delay on the email alert.
